Infrared
The Reasons Why
Infrared gives a look, unlike straight photography. In my book, any opportunity to break away from the norm is to be welcomed at least as an experiment. Consequently, you can find out what creative potential there is for your vision and style.
After a short process of trying to do Infrared capture with a tripod and a filter, I had a Canon 20D converted to see IR light only in 2007. The effect of the conversion means exposure durations and focus are exactly as normal. Many of the shots shown here are handheld at 400 ISO 1/90s f11 on a Canon EFs 10-22mm lens.
