Skogafoss – Iceland
After returning to Iceland seven years after my first visit I was most struck by the increase in the number of tourists mainly from south-east Asia. If you are the type of photographer who does not want people in your landscape pictures then many locations in Iceland will be a challenge for you.
As a preference, I would have liked to place the figure more to the left within the frame however for the reasons stated above that was not possible.
There is always an optimum distance you can use when photographing large waterfalls that produce a lot of spray. Get too close and there is a danger the front element of your lens will be cover in tiny droplets of water. There it is wise to keep a close eye on the front of your lens and have a cloth at hand to wipe the lens before every shot.
